Going Live

Connect to TikTok Live

Link your TikTok account, start a session, and let viewers interact with your game in real time.

Once your overlay is in OBS and a game is loaded, the last step is connecting Livecade to your live TikTok stream. This lets the game read chat messages and gifts so viewers can play along.

Before you connect

Make sure you are actually live on TikTok first. Livecade connects to an active stream, so start your broadcast in the TikTok app or TikTok Live Studio before hitting connect in the dashboard.

You will also need:

  • The overlay added as a browser source in OBS.
  • A game loaded in the control panel.
  • Your TikTok username ready.

Start a session

  1. In the dashboard control panel, enter your TikTok username.
  2. Press Go Live.
  3. Livecade moves through a short connection sequence: Connecting, then Live.

When the status reads Live, the overlay is receiving events from your stream. Send a test message or gift from another account to confirm it shows up.

Session states

| Status | What it means | | --- | --- | | Waiting | No session started yet. | | Connecting | Livecade is linking to your stream. | | Live | Connected. Chat and gifts are flowing into the game. | | Reconnecting | The connection dropped and is being restored automatically. | | Ended | The session has been closed. |

If the status sticks on Connecting, double-check that you are live on TikTok and that the username is spelled exactly as it appears on your profile.

Going offline

When your stream ends, press End Session in the dashboard. This closes the connection cleanly and resets the overlay so it is ready for next time.
